Our Story
Born and raised in Edson, Alberta, Ben Ahlf grew up in a construction family where hard work, craftsmanship, and pride in a job well done were simply part of everyday life. Today, those same values continue to guide B-Line Carpentry.
As an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter with more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Ben has built a reputation for quality workmanship, dependable service, and strong relationships throughout the region. Since founding B-Line Carpentry in 2017 alongside his wife and business partner, Colleen, he has led projects ranging from large-scale residential renovations and custom homes to commercial and light industrial construction.
Building for Generations
The Ahlf family has deep roots in Yellowhead County and B-Line carpentry is proud to be raising the fifth generation in the Edson area. That long-standing connection to the community brings a personal investment to every project we take on and every relationship we build. With the next generation already picking up tools and spending time on job sites, construction remains a family tradition that continues to shape the business today.

Through ongoing volunteer work and contributions to local camps, daycares, the Edson food bank, community halls, and other organizations that make our region a better place to live and work.
